Terms of Service

Podcast AI turns a topic, an article URL, a PDF, or your own script into a podcast episode: an AI-written script, single- or two-host AI-voiced audio, show notes and an RSS feed. Scripts are generated with Anthropic’s Claude models and voices with ElevenLabs. We may change, add or remove features over time.

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service, and old enough to form a binding contract where you live (or have a parent or guardian’s permission) to buy credits.

You can use the Service without registering. We identify your browser with an anonymous cookie, and your credits and history are tied to it. If you clear cookies or switch devices without signing in, you may lose access to them; we can’t always recover an anonymous account. Optional Google sign-in links your credits to your Google account. You are responsible for activity under your account.

• New visitors receive free starter credit(s). Rendering one episode’s audio uses one credit; generating a multi-episode series uses one credit per episode.
• Additional credits are sold in packs listed on our pricing page. Prices are in US dollars (USD) and may exclude taxes, which are added where required.
• Payments are processed by Stripe. We don’t store your card details. Credits are added once payment is confirmed.
• Credits do not expire while the Service operates, have no cash value, and can’t be transferred or resold.
• We may change prices for future purchases; changes don’t affect credits you have already bought.
• If a generation fails because of an error on our side, we will restore the credit used.

Unused credits from a pack are refundable if you request it within 14 days of purchase. Email getdeaddictedllc@gmail.com with your purchase date and the email used at checkout, and we will refund the unused portion to your original payment method. Credits that have already been used are non-refundable. Nothing in this section limits any refund rights you have under applicable consumer law.

You agree not to use the Service to create, upload or distribute content that:

• is illegal, or promotes or facilitates illegal activity;
• is hateful, harassing, threatening, or incites violence or discrimination against people or groups;
• impersonates a real person, or imitates or clones a real person’s voice, without their consent, or is presented in a way that deceives listeners about who is speaking;
• is defamatory, sexually explicit involving minors, or otherwise exploits minors;
• infringes someone else’s copyright, trademark, privacy or other rights (for example, uploading material you don’t have the right to use);
• is spam, malware, or deliberately misleading disinformation.

You also agree not to interfere with or overload the Service, bypass rate limits or credit checks, scrape it, or use it to build a competing service. We may remove content and suspend or terminate access for violations, and report illegal content to authorities. Our AI providers’ usage policies also apply to content you generate.

You keep ownership of what you submit (prompts, scripts, URLs and files), and, as between you and us, you own the scripts and audio generated for you. You may use them for any lawful purpose, including commercially. Note that AI-generated material may not be protected by copyright in some countries, and similar output may be generated for other users.

You are responsible for your content and how you use it, including making sure you have the rights to any source material and that publishing it complies with the law and the rules of any platform you publish to. You grant us a limited license to store, process and deliver your content (including via share links and RSS feeds) as needed to operate the Service.

Scripts are generated by AI and can contain factual errors, outdated information, or statements that sound confident but are wrong, even when based on a source article. Review and fact-check episodes before you publish or rely on them.

The Get De-addicted show and our guides about phone and screen use are for general information and education only. They are not medical, psychological or professional advice, diagnosis or treatment, and don’t create a clinician–patient relationship. Talk to a qualified professional about your or your child’s health. If you are in crisis or think you may be in danger, contact local emergency services immediately.

The Service, its software, design and branding, and the Get De-addicted show content belong to us or our licensors. You may listen to and share links to show episodes, but you may not republish them without permission.

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, and we don’t guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that generated content will meet your needs.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Get De-addicted will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or US$50. Some jurisdictions don’t allow these limits, so they may not fully apply to you.

You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from content you create or publish with the Service or your breach of these terms.

You may stop using the Service at any time and ask us to delete your data. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these terms or if we discontinue the Service; if we discontinue it for reasons other than your breach, we will refund unused paid credits.

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the operator’s state of registration, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If you are a consumer, you also keep any mandatory protections of the laws of the country where you live.

We may update these terms from time to time. We will change the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, give reasonable notice on the site. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
